Just so everyone's clear, I'll post some diagrams from the workshop manuals shortly. My RS500 workshop manual's at home though.
As tabetha and Paul_RS pointed out, from the factory, all the Sierra and large turbo Escort Cosworths had the same plastic Bosch recirculating dump valve. The one on my 2wd Saff is at home in a box.
