ive got a mk1 xr2, had a 1700 lump which went bang at a pf meet!!!

im replacing it with a 1640 and rebuilt the head but we had all the pistons apart n get the feeling there not back correctly, we also had the shells out!!!

havent as yet got it started, but have now purchased a 2.0zetec engine for £150, the bloke also has a 1.6 zetec which i can have for the sump and other bits!!

how much do u think it would cost to fit the zetec??

i have twin forties etc, but would like to run the engine standard for a while!!!
