Thats not true. if everyone was led by emotions then for a start the murder rate would be 1000s of times worse than now, not to mention the level of poverty would go through the roof as everyone "follows thier heart" rather than being a little bit practical!!!
When it comes to relationships I think it is true. How many people have had their best friends sleep with their partner? Plenty, because you'll do what you want to do. Someone will tell you that they'll never let you down, but there's always a scenario where they will.
