I'm off work sick and find computer games are the best release - these days when everyone has voice comms and it's easy to keep in touch with people you like to play with (Steam Friends etc) it's a sociable thing to do as well as a time killer.

I've got a mate who's been on the dole 8 years the twat - I think he just watches daytime TV - that I could never do!
