As far as i am aware, it tricks your body into thinking it is starving, so your body then feeds on fat rather than carbohydrates.
So because your body is using fat, the liver converts the fat in your diet to fatty acids which go to the brain and replace glucose(processed carbs) as the preffered source of energy.
Its pretty complicated but there is lots online about it. I just dont think i have a lifestyle that i could adapt to commit fully to the keto diet. If you dont commit fully... it wont work.
It also takes 4-6 days following the diet to get into ketosis, then the hard bit is keeping your body in ketosis!
