This has been an expensive lesson for me since I bought seats for my Merkur that were maybe an inch too wide. The 1985 Merkur tunnel is a bit different than most Sierra tunnels. I bought a seat for my cyclist legs but it was no match for my car. I should have bought a little bit tighter seat.

Find the happy medium between car fitment and ass/shoulder fitment. Just trying to help.
