!!SUCCESS!!!

Pulled the Idle control Valve and filled it with Omega 636 4n1 oil, worked back and forth for ten minutes, and re-fitted it. started up at the same (1600rpm) then by the time i got to the end of the road to the junction, dropped to idle of 900rpm, which im taking to be pretty normal - most other cars ive had have been around 1000.

Time to order the new MAF to cure the juddering Acceleration whilst full throttle below 3000rpm, above that its fine!
