your gearbox at the moment is transverse so you have only got a prop shaft running down the transmission tunnel, if you want to fit the engine in longditudinally then your gonna need a much bigger tunnel

The 2.5 engine is kinda short, so it should fit. Trouble is finding what gearbox i can use, and getting that to fit, since mondeo has a transverse engine... there isnt much room "back in the car" for a gearbox. but that should not be to big a issue..
I might have to cut the floor from a Sierra or Scorpio to get this sorted.. i know..
*edit* got a tip to look at Jaguar for gearbox.. RWD, Mondeo based, and similar engine? hmm .....
