Stephen, as a parent to four kids over the past 23 years all i can say is welcome to the club matey!!!

I would think most parents on here have had the same issues as you and have found through experience the best way to deal with their kids.


Due to Gov legislation and the PC world we live in, unfortunately us parents are fooooked!!!!! I shit myself if the kids fall over and get a bruise as I maybe accused of child abuse.

Oh a few weeks ago my mate tried to discipline his 9yr old and her reply was " If your awful to me I know what the childline number is and ill ring them up" WTF

Ill tell you what works for us, we have a points sytem, 1 point is worth a pound. If the kids are good they get points, if they are bad they get points removed. At the end of the month we go and spend the points on whatever they want.

Cant get much for a pound these days can you!!!!
