The mere fact you have bought a box for it and the garage owner is fitting for free without warranty has in my opinion meant that you have both accepted partial responsibility for the issue.
The fact he is fitting the box but is not warrantying the work stands to reason, he didn't buy the box so why would he be held responsible for it?
I have bought the box and he is trying to charge me for the work! I only took it back to him as i was under the understanding it should be covered for 3months. otherwise i would have done the work myself. The guy is a right Prick i'm just gonna wait till its done then drive off if he asks for cash!
