Hi guys, I wonder if you can help me at all with this...
I had to jump start my 1998 Fiesta the other week because the battery had died (left my sidelights on)
I jump started it using my friends car, but their car had the negative as RED and the positive as BLACK and I hadn't noticed. So the leads were back to front and they melted. Luckily, I had a second pair of leads which, wired correctly, did the job.
The problem now however is that my radio doesn't come on at all. Ive looked at all the fuses in the fuse compartment and they all seem fine.. I've swapped the fuse around and it does nothing.
Removing and replacing the small security panel does nothing at all..
Is there anything else I can check or do I need to completely replace the entire stereo system?
Many thanks for any help and advice
EDIT: If I purchase a new standard stereo, how does it fit in... given that the fiesta stereo (CD) is not a normal size?
