It could well kill an engine - just like a badly setup Cosworth motor will lunch itself on the first high speed run

Main issue with the american made kit is the fact all yank E36's have loads of room on the exhaust side for the downpipe due to being left hookers. Not to say that it can't be done - just look at the 325TDS/TD for example, turbocharged straight 6, slightly canted over and still manages to miss the steering linkage.

Have a good look at other conversions that are available over here - I'm pretty sure X-Sport or whoever they are do a kit for UK cars.
