That is correct - you remove the gauze flame trap and leave the big kidney box - the kidney box is essentially a breather/seperator (on 4x4 it is) with a crankcase breather and oil return and then the top port goes to the air box + inlet manifold via the flame trap on a standard setup. On an uprated setup, you remove the flame trap, the inlet manifold valve and airbox pipe and fit a 19mm internal diameter pipe from the kidney box to the aftermarket breather tank
