My main point is what makes 9/11 victims so much more special than say the death of innocent people in Iraq for example ? If time was deadicated to making TV programmes, memorials, building statues, making plaques etc each time a load of innocent Iraqis were killed then we would never be able to keep pace with it all!lol

But seriously, why does anyone need to hear these phone calls, do people get a kick listening to others in peril who are about to die ? What we really need are some close ups on CCTV of them fearing for their lifes while chatting on the phones....nice...not...! I personally just don't get it....
thankfully its subjective, some people want to see/hear it, some dont

nothing makes 9/11 victims more "special" we are all equal

but i think the point you are missing is this is probably the most historic event in recent times where 2000 odd people lost their lives in one go. It will be talked about and docs made about it - its a fact of life that we live in an era whereby media is accessible to most people and the fact that the whole 9/11 event was captured on some form of media device

imagine if we had WW3 now or the Titanic sank 2 years ago, i'm sure that would get the same coverage.
