Food is on a 2-4-1 basis (main courses) with a large selction of great food off the menu and specials boards. Drink is reasonably priced and the carpark is huge too


Food stops being served at 2100.

Directions are easy. From the M62 head South on the M1 and exit at J40 then follow the brown National Mining Museum signs.

From Wakefield follow the A629 to Huddersfield

From Huddersfield/M1 North J38 follow the signs for A629 National Mining Museum and then once you pass that, follow Wakefield and you will see the pub on the left about a mile AFTER the sign for Horbury Junction.

Watch out for Speed Cameras aswell. Kirklees and Wakefield councils are enjoying a planting scheme at the moment and the A629 has no less than 24 cameras on it between Huddersfield and Wakefield
