If the engine CC is the same i can't see why police would have a big problem with it. If in your case though i think police mite be funny about it because you'd be paying less road tax with it only being a "1.3". I'm with lux and have had a engine swap and they were fine about it, the more mods you've got the better, normally brings the price down.
