Question RWD rear mounted engine advice

Right, i need some advice and peoples opinions, i have searched for this already and nothing seems to come up specificaly abour rear mounting engines.

I have a S2 mk4 escort, and am in the process of stripping it to give it a total refurb/spray.

It got me thinking, while its at that stage, id quite like to make it RWD,

now, whats the best way of going about this?

Mounting the engine in the rear, or welding the sierra floor pan in?
Is it quicker to put it in the rear rather than transfering floors.

What would it involve putting it in the rear, advantages, disagvantages, and would it affect handling worse compared to the engine in the front and RWD?

Im not going for looks, so i dont mind how ugly it looks in the back.
Ive seen a video of it claimed done on a S2 on youtube, but its hard to tell.

Is it possible?

Anyone on here done it?

Any comments welcome, i just want to know as much as i can.
Cheers.
