A larger tb will only give you an advantage IF it is a restriction to start with, if going aftermarket or substantially different from std then management will need to be sorted as well.
Just simply putting on a tb from a bigger model if it fits is very unlikely to prevent it starting, but won't do any good, the ecu doesn't "reject" things as it doesn't know if it powering a mini or a jumbo jet, ie it doesn't know what it's attached to.
As a basic rule if the tb was a restriction enlarging would slow down air speed and lose low speed crispness/running.
