i'd dropped my car off 270 odd miles away in plymouth and it was ready to collect

so i got the call and, after getting to work that morning at around 4am, i decided that i'd go and get it that afternoon

so after work me and my mate set off, he was asleep most of the way there though
got there just before 5pm, had a spin in the car, bloody impressed at how fast it was
got on the motorway to go home

got to the point where i was about to give it some beans and made sure the road was clear

gave it full beans and it went pretty fast

then it blew up

so had to wait 3 hours for the aa guy to come out and recover us the 200+ miles back home again who said it was a split pipe

stuck some oil in, fixed the pile, clean up the brakes etc and he said it was ok to go home in

so it was a LONG 50 mph trip home, only to have ot be at work for 4am the next morning so i drove straight to work

anyhow, a few days later it split again so i got on the blower to be otld that i shoudl bring the car back to plymouth again

so i made arrangemetns to go down there overnight with my cousin, dropped it off first thing in the morning and then headed home, in a 1.3 escort it was a fair bit of a mission i tell thee

and then i had to go and colelct it again a few weeks later when it was fixed

phew!

fair play though it never missed a beat after that other than for my own foolishness or stupidity
