i have the same problem with my cabriolet 1600 zetec

i have removed the ISCV and cleaned it , no help , fitted a new coolant sensor

when we got the car i did a big service with all the fuel filter , air filter , oil and filter , plugs , leads, cambelt and tensioner and V belt but it made no differance

we went to the ford garage today and they tell me we need a new ECU

i have been around fords for a few years but have never heard of this ??

any advice because the ISCV is €150 and a new ECU will be about €1500 fitted and programmed , i can use a 2nd hand one but still needs to be programmed !!

Please help
