As said before, the sender is in a different place, but as you will be using an in-tank pump, that will not be a problem.

You will also need the filler neck from a MK4 as the MK3 has a rubber piece between the filler neck and the tank and the MK4 filler neck slots into the tank itself. The cap and everything will still fit the same.
