T3 driveabilty
Hi guys/girls just had my 2wd engine rebuilt all done proffesionaly so i know ive got a good starting point potential wise for increase in power and torque , dyno,d the engine and was all good . before it let loose 2 yrs ago by a belt coming off not snapping ,the pipe was blowing slightly and in desperate need of full setup.misfiring etc , even tho the new engine is in and im on the road these probs are still there due to basically trying to get her legal n on the road and now its the next stage. rectify the misfires n know its all correct via a prof tune/check.at the moment its driveabilty is total shit. i know it will perform better after the exhuast is sorted and im gonna buy stg 1 chip from stu plus the ignition upgrade, what kinda of driveability should i expect. in fourth at 2 grand , feed the throttle heavy n its worse thn my 1600cvh escort by miles. it is a 3 inch scorpian t3 yellows L6 k&n otherwise standard. 10psi ish. im just not happy with the lag , and im so hoping im gonna be more impressed when its tuned properly . ive gunned it a couple of times knowing i should'nt risk it really but i did lol. it goes well for what she is but low down off boost its horrid. also where the turbo joins the ex maifold , im told it will seal by the carbon deposits , as theres no gasket im curious to this. any info appreciated its blowing from there defo, sounds minor on the system somwhere too. pls god i hope i can work towards some nice response type drivin or it will ruin it for me....... i expect a bad drive with blowing pipe but its not greatly noticable to the ear , my cvh turbo blew once but still miles better low down driveability thn this. im gonna do the fan and fuel loom now b4 anymore heavy driving or runnin. also the fuel pressure test. just hope the t3 does the job for me
