Two words: Fuck Off.

Don't forget that the marvellous, saintly, Tony Bliar went to Libya in 2007 and agreed a prisoner transfer deal with Colonel Gaddaffi, then realised that the UK Government don't control the Scottish judiciary so although the deal was signed, Magrahi wasn't transferred/released, and the spin-doctors told us the deal wasn't about him. The fact that he was the only Libyan prisoner in the whole UK was just a coincidence!

Just to be clear, I'm no great lover of Libya - the fact that a serving policewoman was shot and killed from their London embassy, and the killer allowed to go home without ever going near a jail is reason enough to dislike them - they could have cancelled his diplomatic immunity and handed him over if they wanted to.

I'm also very happy for guilty people to be have a miserable time while they are left to rot, but in this case I simply don't believe he is guilty.

And as for the horseshit welcome he got, of course it was wrong, but it was fairly obvious that the Libyans were going to do something like that - the guy did 8 years in jail to help his country get sanctions dropped and be accepted back into civilisation.
