intercooler cools the charge air by havinf air flow over what is princably a radiator! the larger the surface area the better the cooling (aprently) ie more cold ait that hits the intercooler (front mount on rst's) the better and cooler the charge air will be!

A chargecooler works by cooling the charge air by water! so it doesnt matter if your sat in traffic you shouldnt get any heat soak! (but theres mix opionins(sp) on this!!
