Yes quite easy to do on it's own, if the bearing is just a bit noisy when the pedal is up and goes when you press the pedal, most live with it, as it is usually not a problem, but if really noisy obviously change it.
Just back off the adjuster at the pedal first by pulling pedal up then pushing adjuster pawl forwards say 1" release press pedal a few times to reset the auto adjuster, maybe it has taken up too much slack so it is riding the clutch ?
