possible bent valves??
right basically i bought a series 1 rs turbo as a project and decided to put the engine into my series 2 to get it going again as the engine in it had no compression. Anyway put the engine in out of the series 1, timed it all up correctly fitted etc and went to start it. Basically its trying to start but keeps popping back out of the metering head and sounds as though its about to start but just doesnt have enough. Basically the head that came with the series 1 engine had 4 new inlet valves fitted. Would i be correct in thinking that these maybe werent fitted correctly or that the exhaust valves could also be damaged. I know i should have checked but assumed all was good. Im out of ideas as to what it could be as im getting a good spark and also have fuel there and the timing is spot on.
