Ok this may be a bit of medium sized thread but could do with some advice:

First of all i have a issue with my Escort cosworth, when i start it up the oil pressure shoots up to just below the 5 bar, however when the car reaches normal temp and the revs have dropped down the pressure on the gauge reads above the red, the previous owner run it on and just changed the oil to castrol magnetic 15/40 which i think is to thick, i used to run my other cosssies on 10/60????? Now could it be that the oil is to thick or is my oil pump giving up??????.

The car was originally a small turbo but at some time been converted into a large turbo model however im unsure if it is a 4x4 engine or 2wd with the added sump modifications to make it a 4x4, is there a quick way i can tell.

The alarm never come with the code so i can change the features on the alarm is there a way i could get if i contacted clifford but then a previous owner may of changed it since then?????
