7.5" wide is 6.75mm wider in each direction, then ET35 would put it 10mm inwards, so 7" ET25 would be 3.25mm closer to the outer arch which if yours were level is too close, they would rub!

I have 16x7.5" wheels with ET38 and I would want it an millimeter more in or out. It's very close to rubbing both to the rear shock and rear outer wing.
Yeah but the ET40 are 17's and that's the problem I want to drop to 16's
