I suspect he wouldnt keep up with the ring taxi if they were trying though, from what Mike Rainbird said about when he went out with them they are only ever giving the engine moderate revs etc.
did you see the way the ring taxi past it on the straight before the carousel ? If Neither had passengers and it was a clear track, the taxi would wipe the floor with the pug, no matter who was driving it !
