Yes it is, the Castrol is a hydrocracked mineral oil and the Silkolene is a true synthetic, The Silkolene is in a different league.

The Castrol RS 10w-60 and Castrol TWS Motorport 10w-60 isn't the same oil? Castrol TWS Motorsport is extremly popular with Cosworth owners here in Norway. Nobody uses Castrol RS.
Yes you are quite right, the TWS is slightly different to the RS as it uses higher quality base stock, however here in the UK the TWS is only available through BMW dealers at a very high price and Castrol will not sell it direct to the public.

We have had both the RS and TWS chemically tested along side Silkolene and others, compered to the Silkolene Pro S the Castrol TWS still does not come close.
