Yes its very straightforward to do. Oil filter would be cheapest from a motor factors (halfords bump the prices up massively), or even a genuine ford one, which are cheaper than halfords.

As for oil, you will need 5w30, available from a motor factors or halfords often do special deals on containers of oil, such as a free pack of screwdrivers etc. You will need round-abouts 4.5 to 5 litres.
