Hi guys, this is my first post so i am hoping i have got this in the right place.
Im looking for a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth that was owned by my dad. A few months back, i was bored and decided to type the reg into Google. It took me to a thread about a guy who owned it after my dad, also asking where it was. Apparently, the car suffered a battery loom fire. The only damage was the bonnet, wing, vent and battery/battery wiring loom. The guy then decided to sell it.
Apparently, the car is now being restored, but according to the DVLA, it has not been taxed since 2007 so im guessing it may be dead.
My dad owned for several years, and sold it at around 1999. I dont know the mileage, but i know some of the spec incase that would help to identify it if you guys ever come across it.
Flint Grey
O.Z Hockenheims
Was magazine featured, but i dont know what magazine or the year. If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be great!
Car was doing 470hp at time of sale. It was a real minter, and was used on numerous track days and drags.
Thats all i really know without speaking to my dad about it. Im determined to find out what has happened to this car. I had some fantastic times in that car, and providing its still alive, even if its just a shell, i would love to buy it and surprise my dad with it. I miss this car alot and would love to atleast know the fate of it, as it's been stuck with me ever since i saw the thread on the RSOC forum.
Heres a couple of pics from one of the more recent owners. You can see it with the O.Z hockenheims that my dad fitted.
Regards,
Frenchy
P.S, i have also looked on the database on here, and found nada.
