they do dump air when u let off whilst on boost yes - but whether this asctually makes the car any better to drive - i feel not. it may slightly extend the life of your turbo, but running normal and up to around 1.5 bar boost, u wont do any damage imo, i dont run one any more and have no probs as many peope dont either.
