Wondered if any one had come across this problem with and escort before?
Here go`s, When I start and drive my 1.6 16v escort Lx around say to the shops leave it then come back to it and try to start it again it refuses to turn over. the immobiliser led flashes on the dash but nothing happens. When I turn the key I can not hear the selonoid clicking or any noise from under the bonnet at all. But if I leave the car for an hour or so It will fire up first turn of the key?? Has anyone eperienced this problem before and if so how did you cure it? Not sure whether its the starter motor , selonoid or the immobiliser? any suggestions, appart from scrap it??
