Perranporth beach is nice - we were down your way last week.
Me and Jen were sait in our house, in our lounge having a chat that got quite nostalgic and romantic about things, laughing about the past etc etc and the time just felt romantic and the perfect time to ask her.. and she said yes without hesitating
I had asked her dad and was planning on picking the ring up on the wednesday after I actually asked and taking her to where we first kissed, and dropping to one knee at that spot and asking her.
From my experience, dont try and engineer the perfect moment to ask her, take one of those times when things just feel right and ask then!
