Tried a few Dyson's from John Lewis as you can 'Try before you buy'. Found the Miele Cat & Dog to be heaps better than the rest in its class at £200-220. The better one though is the Sebo, its a German hoover but only comes in an upright. I took my Miele to bits and found on the board there was a break so soldered it and it works fine now
