Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone could shed some light on this one for me please, I picked up an 03 plate Focus TDI a month ago when I got it the drivers electric window worked ok but after a couple of weeks it simply stopped working. When you press the switch you can hear the relay in the switch clicking but nothing happens to the glass, I have tried assisting it down with my hands with the switch pressed but there is no movement at all.

I have been told this is a common problem ? has anyone come accross it by chance.... a garage told me it was a resistor in the window mechanism that has possibly gone, I'm looking for some clarification on that if possible.

I did remove the door card only to find another inch of soundproofing so decided without knowing what I was looking for I was wasting my time.
