its not always last in first out, i had only been working for a company for 6 months when we were all advised of pending redundancies and i thought the same, but no, he let people go that had worked for him for 10 years, 5 years etc and i kept my job. I'm sure his decision was based upon who he liked oh and a bit on who did the job well.
