how long is "slightly longer than it should?"

Mine used to take a while to key over, turned out to be a faulty metering unit. Swapped it over and now starts bang on key

As said tho, could be a list of things. plugs, leads, dizzy mechanism, even a part-drained battery not giving enough ummmph to the starter, weak connection at fuel pump blah blah blah............... all easily looked at and sorted tho
