well you could dissconnect exhaust and pull that out, then same for gearbox but leave that in place on its mounts and jack up the engine, but put a bit of wood on the jack so u dont damage the sump. then take off completely the top left engine mount and all that would be left to do is to jack up the car and drop the block out.

but IMO i would get an engine lift, would be a whole lot easier.
