It is after all the newer more powerful car you would expect it to perform better.
Now while beauty is in the eye of the beholder compared to the escort and the mk1 the mk2 is just plain fugly. Who ever signed off on those bonnet vents should be taken out back and shot. Still the mk2 engine should fit in the mk1, have the looks and the power then
it does perform better then them both
and you could only say that if they were the same weight
but one is fully loaded with goodies and looks a pleasure to sit in the other two well
