I only know this after a friend of mine got collared for drink driving a few years ago, she had to spend about 6hrs at the police station while she sobered up and was then told she was free to go. She asked what to do with her car that had been left at the side of the road when she got nicked and was told she was free to drive it home and was allowed to drive until she was actually convicted.
