if your going to run big bhp, then there are other reasons like the lag will make the power band much higher which will help with traction issues as the car will be rolling more, whereas a smaller turbo coming in would probably overwhelm the front wheels as the power band starts alot lower down.
I found this with my setup when i had a t3 stage 2 and then went to a t34.
The t3 would make the car spin up very easily but the t34 didn't!
