Default Trying out my G220 as a beginner (faded corsa)

Ive always been into keeping my cars clean with the Halfords stuff, until i found detailing sites! I am, by far, not a professional but i do have a lot of fun trying new things and new products.

Since i was about 5 ive helped my dad, he did a bit of concourse stuff with some RS's (1600is, Esc Cos's, mk2 RS2000's) so i do enjoy it. Keeps me content at the weekends

It was my birthday in March so when asked by the girlfriend what i wanted i gave her a list for CYC. She thinks im daft :

Also, my parents offered to get me a Megs G220, so my kit came as per this pic:

Anyway, a friend asked me if i could do anything with her corsa. The paint had oxidised, so i said id give it a go, never having done any machine polishing before!
I was quite impressed at how easy it is to use and how good the results were, even to someone as inexperienced as me. Didnt really take many pics as i was excited to use the machine. I did take a few before pics but they're on my other camera, not my phone!
I snowfoamed the car:

I then washed it with CG Maxi Suds II then clayed with Megs Clay kit.

Then i masked off a bit of the bonnet with my blue tape to see what it was like. I used Menz P085RD on Megs pads, both a cutting one and a polishing one.

The results were as follows:

I only have one more pic from my phone, a finished one:

Totally pleased with the results, as was the owner
