I had the S2 (3ltr NA) and it was a superb car - just make sure the cam chain tensioner has been done recently (or at some point) as they are prone to wear and then the chain snaps. It's a very well known problem these days but was never a standard service item but if it's been in the car of a specialist you should be OK
