Gday bud, iv been thinking of doin this conversion for some time, mainly because the zetec thing has been done to death and secondly with a Dastek unichip, filter and exhaust the V6 can put out up to 190bhp plus its not to heavy being alloy block and heads. What im about to say is just theory and i have not yet put it into practice but to point you in the right direction i believe mk1 mondeo V6's had cable operated clutches and mk1 and mk2 both use a MTX75 gearbox but i think they use a different bell housing to the norm due to the starter motor mounted on top of the box due to the V configuration. If the V6 gearbox casing itself was the same as that of a MTX75 fitted to the mk5 or mk6 escort RS2000 then the gearbox mounts for that car could be utilised in your application and so reduce fabrication time and should mean you could use the RS2000 driveshafts too. The V6 engine itself will need a custom mount for the o/s wing/flitch panel, plus the original escort engine mount will need to be removed as it will foul on the rear bank of the engine. Also a small section of the bulkhead/divider on the o/s will need removing as this will foul the cylinder head. Hope this helps bud
