there are no dowels mate .... most engines have them but some some reason the yb. does not .... what there is ,, is 2 special alignment studs you screw into 2 bolt holes to keep every thing in place when fitting the head .. you then put the bolts in ,,, then remove the 2 studs and fit the last 2 remaining bolts ... hope this helps ... mark
