3 weeks ago today i had to head cross country to deliver some suspension i was selling. Seeing as its all decent back roads i gave the car some stick both ways. My turbo had been smokey and i knew it was on a short life span. Anyway as i returned to my village i heard the dreaded squeel/scrape which i knew was turbo blades
I was slow in getting a hand to remove the turbo so 1st week was wasted. I sourced a 2nd hand 20k turbo locally that was nice price

week 2 was a write off as the wife was away on a 5 day hen do(

) in spain. Last thu got the turbo swapped and realised we'd broken a pipe on the boost solenoid

that wouldve been ok but then my mate snapped the oil feed banjo when fitting it up
Ford dont supply the banjo on its own so got a whole new feed for £58

it arrived on tue and some cunt had robbed the banjo bolt, the only shitting bit i needed.
Got new parts yest and got them on.
Same mate who broke other bits whipped out plugs and removing one he cracked the plug off the plug hole and broke it

Local car places had no stock and car was missing badly.
Borrowed a set of plugs from Paul who i got the turbo from and at last she ran lovely.
Took car out and was shitting it that turbo was ok. Slowly increased the boost as i warmed her up. Eventually floored it and saw less than 1 bar and car was slow

heart sank. Then twigged i'd put the standard map back on to stop turbo boosting so hard while damaged. Quickly got my DS, mapped to race plus and she goes like stink again
