Default Running an external wastegate manifold with a gated turbo

I stumbled across a bargin last night, bought a beautiful tubular external wastegate manifold at my local RSOC for an absoloute steal, the thing is, at the moment I am only planning to run a T38 (internal gate) until the development is done. Might sound daft, but would there be any harm in running the external gated manifold, but with the external pipework blanked off?

The head is off at the moment so would make refitting a LOT easier, and would mean I would only have to chuck a GT30 on at a later date, rarther than taking off the crappy 4x4 manifold at the same time.

Would having the extra pipework blanked off cause any problems? I can't see it would, but just thought I would check before I fit it all
