about 22 stitches all in all, they had to cut open my thumb in a Z shaped to get to the tendon damage . the tendon was 80% severed and the palm of my hand was also flapping in the wind with nerve damage inside, 6 weeks in a fibreglass arm/hand casting . the little 1 inch cut below my thumb caused more damage than the big cut and was the reason of the other side of my thumb needing cut open, its not that clear but it also sliced through my thumbnail twice ....and all from a plastic fan blade....
